Welcome to our School Website.
Realt na Mara National School is situated in the village of Mulranny on the shores of Clew Bay. The school was originally built in 1939 with the financial aid of the Sisters of Mercy. It was run by the Sisters until it became a lay institution in 1986. A new extension was built onto the original school in 2007.
The school currently has 69 pupils enrolled. We have three mainstream teachers and one shared learning support teacher. The school participates in DEIS (Delivering Equality and Opportunity in Schools), an initiative of the Department of Education to alleviate educational disadvantage. We are also a Green School and have just received the good news that we have been awarded our 4th Green Flag for the Travel Theme.
Mulranny National School aims to provide all children with a well-rounded education where all children fulfill their potential and where teachers and pupils respect each other highly.
